RIOB was born in a home kitchen, inspired by Bruno’s journey. We welcomed Bruno into our family in 2016, and in 2022, when he began facing severe skin issues, we experienced firsthand the concerns every pet parent feels when their dog isn’t well. With guidance from veterinarians and industry experts, we learned how deeply nutrition impacts a dog’s health and happiness. Disappointed by overly processed treats, we began baking our own with the same care and intention we would choose for our own family. Every batch was made by hand—no shortcuts, no compromises—just honest effort and love. That pet-parent mindset became the foundation of RIOB and everything we stand for today.
By 2023, our treats had grown beyond our own dogs, as friends, neighbors, and fellow pet parents began asking for more. Their trust and honest feedback helped us refine our recipes and thoughtfully scale our process—without losing what made us who we are. Guided by veterinarians, inspired by pet parents, and driven by consistency, this phase became one of continuous learning and improvement. Every batch added to our understanding and strengthened our credibility. Through mid-2025, we weren’t just making treats anymore—we were shaping a brand rooted deeply in care.
In 2025, this journey took a defining turn when I partnered with a like-minded college friend who shared the same commitment to pet health and happiness. Together, we set out to make honest nutrition accessible to pet parents everywhere, so feeding their pets could be worry-free and full of trust. That shared purpose led to the birth of RIOB—a name inspired by our pets, Bruno and Rio. Today, RIOB stands as a promise of care, honesty, and love for every pet, everywhere.
